A new version of the ESM Treaty is signed on 02 February 2012 by the Coreper Ambassadors. In July 2013, the ESM assumes the tasks fulfilled by the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) and the European Financial Stabilisation Mechanism (EFSM).
