Negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina started on 08 and 09 March 2011. The European Union is the facilitator of this dialogue.

The Macro-economic Dialogue is an institutionalised form of discussion between the Council, the Commission, the European Central Bank and the European Social Partners. It was established by the European Council in June 1999 in Cologne, which provided for three Social Partners.

The European External Action Service is being established following the entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon. It will serve as a foreign ministry and diplomatic corps for the EU, under the authority of the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

The Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council takes place on 17 February, in Brussels, under the Presidency of Denmark.

Since 2007, to reflect the depth and breadth of their strategic partnership, EU and China began negotiations for a Partnership and Cooperation Agreement. Apart from regular political, trade and economic dialogue meetings, there are over 24 sectoral dialogues and agreements.

The 14th EU-China Summit takes place on 14 February in Beijing.
