TV NEWSROOM - the multimedia platform of the Council of the European Union

The website http://tvnewsroom.consilium.europa.eu offers free of charge and free of copyright broadcast-quality videos (MPEG4) and photos (JPEG) of all important activities of the Council.

European Council meetings and Council of Ministers meetings (arrivals, doorsteps, roundtables and press conferences in their entirety) as well as other Council activities (PSC, working groups with special guests) and special events are recorded and made available for downloading within the hour of any event.

A special section is dedicated to the activities of the President of the European Council Mr Herman Van Rompuy, and to the activities of Ms Catherine Ashton, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

External Council events are also covered as well as Common Security and Defence Policy missions. In addition, the website offers archives with stock shots, feature stories and other video material.
