As part of the European Defence Agency's Helicopter Training Programme (HTP), Spain is hosting a Multinational Helicopter Exercise, from 9 to 24 June 2010, in an extensive manoeuvre area between Logroño, Jaca and Zaragoza. The Exercise, which is the largest of its kind so far, with more than 40 helicopters and 700 people attending from nine EU Member States, takes place just over a half year after the Ministerial approval of the HTP concept. The HTP programme consists of two live exercises per year, one focusing on individual training and one on interoperability and operational tactics.
