Sabratha is situated along the coast, 70 km from Tripoli. The Archeological Site of Sabratha is part of the UNESCO's World Heritage List since 1982 and is one of the most visited places of Libya. Sabratha was part of the short-lived Numidian Kingdom of Massinissa before being Romanized and rebuilt in the 2nd and 3rd centuries (A.D.). Sabratha's Theatre was built during the 3rd century (B.C.). It used to be the largest of Africa, and could hold 5000 spectators. Ancient Sabratha

Bi'r al Ghanam (Municipality of Yafran) is a small town situated 85 km from Tripoli in the direction of the Hammada Al Hamra desert (South-West). Its villagers initially built their farms around a well, the only source of water at this time and started rearing sheep. Nowadays, they are living around the main road, a few kilometres away from the well but their main source of income is still sheep rearing. Main road
