The Agriculture and Fisheries Council takes place on 28 January 2013 in Brussels, under the presidency of Simon COVENEY, Irish Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The Council is chaired by Simon COVE$EY, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine of Ireland. As regards fisheries issues, the Presidency presents its work programme and priorities to the Council. Ministers also hold an exchange of views on the common fisheries policy (CFP) reform “package” and an orientation debate on certain technical and control measures in the Skagerrak. The Council then is to be briefed on the state of play following the recent discussions on the EU/Norway fisheries arrangements.
